Spain is one of the cultural centres of Europe. A fascinating country in which there is a lot to discover and learn about.

The Costa Brava is one of the most famous holiday regions in Spain and is located right up in the North East of the Spanish Mediterranean coast in the region of Catalonia (Barcelona is the capital of the region). The beautiful Costa Brava coastal region which translates as “wild coast” is above all characterised by small bays and beaches amidst the rugged rocks of the mountains which run parallel to the coast.

 

Climate

The climate is very pleasant in summer with temperatures of 21°C – 28°C and strong sea breezes. Bathing in the warm water with temperatures of up to 24° C is an unadulterated pleasure. 

 

Sports and leisure

Sailing and wind surfing, snorkelling and diving or hiking on the coasts and in the mountains are the most popular types of sport on the Costa Brava.
