Lake Neusiedl is a flat Steppe Lake, second largest only to Lake Balaton in Hungary. The largest part of the lake lies in Austria and the smaller part in Hungary. The Burgenland cycling country stretches across extensive cycle trails consisting of 200 km of optimally constructed paths. The whole family can enjoy relaxation in a beautiful natural landscape while swimming, sailing, surfing, kite surfing, riding and hiking. This region is famous for its fine wines and further south, the nearby thermal region invites you to wellness stays (in Stegersbach, Lutzmannsburg and Bad Tatzmannsdorf). A particularly interesting leisure recommendation is the Lake Neusiedl family park, Austria’s largest leisure park in St. Margarethen. The resort of Porsdorf on See is situated south of the Lake Neusiedl–Seewinkel National Park on the Eastern Shore. Mini Max Leisure Park in Porsdorf provides entertainment, fun and an abundance of action for both old and young. From the end of April until the beginning of May, the action really gets going on Lake Neusiedl with the annual Surf World Cup.
